- List 5-10 amazing days in your life. Allow your creative juices to really flow. Think of all the kinds of days that could be considered the "best".
- Cuddling a baby at 2am
- Getting the call to accept a job
- Seeing my kids love on each other.
- Child laughter
- Listening to the trees blow in the wind. Being out in nature.
- Write about your very favorite day from the list above. Try to convey all the details and emotions you felt.
- Rocking one of my kiddos when they were babies. Never mind the really difficult days. But the ones where I'm very present to the moment. When I'm looking at them in their slumber, or crying, or quiet alertness. Feeling the feelings of their life while being cradled in mine. I felt so alive, purposeful, hopeful, and afraid. Driven yet frozen, alive yet stoic.
- Is your happiest day and most fulfilling day the same, or are they totally different days? Compare and contrast the two.
- Happiness & Fulfillment are two different things. A happy day is a lighthearted one, that totally is full of light, life, and activity. A fulfilling day is one that I feel accomplished, intentional, and purposeful. They differ in that a happy day is a chance-happening by a frame of mind whereas a fulfilled day is one of intentionality and achieving goals.
- What was the day you felt most useful? Tell us the story.
- I felt most useful when I got a call to accept a job. I'll go with the most recent one - I felt that all of my efforts were paying off. The job was the highest paying of all of them, seemed like something I could truly do, and a very healthy place in which to do it. I was so proud to tell my inner circle about getting this job.
- Has there been a day where you felt like your dreams were coming true? Relive the experience.
- Honestly - when I told my ex I'd like a divorce. And every step since then up to now. Telling folks, telling the kids, making plans, and moving forward. I feel like my dreams are coming true. I'm finally listening to them. I'm making them happen and moving toward those plans. Those dreams. Those ideas, and those goals. My heart has been good to me, it's time to be good to her.
- What would your perfect day look like in the future? Think about it from the moment you wake up until the time you go to sleep. Who is there? Where are you? What is the world like?
- A perfect day in the future would be... perhaps, a Saturday. Waking up next to the love of my life. Feeling mutually cherished and cared for. I'd feel safe with him, and he would feel safe to emotionally open up and share with me. Strong ideas, but a lot of compassion and open-mindedness. A real soul connection with this man. We'd do some yoga & stretching together. We'd drink coffee and talk. We'd have a nice breakfast without staring at our phones. We'd decide what we wanted to do with our day. Probably a walk, shopping, lunch or dinner out. House cleaning. Maybe a movie or show in the evening? or a workout? We'd talk about dreams and goals and we'd make sweet love in the evenings. He'd stroke my face and tell me how beautiful I am, how happy I make him, and how lucky he is to have found me. I'd feel exactly the same - and probably cry as he spoke this life into me. His words would resonate with me and I'd share my heart with him at that time too. I'd do anything for him while not allowing his limited humanity to scare me away.
- Is there any detail from one of your best days that you could recreate in order to have more amazing days in the future? Bonus points for actually doing it and then writing about it!
- I'm doing it. I'm creating my future by shifting my present. I feel it. I can definitely feel my soulmate is out there. He will know exactly who he is and accept me for exactly who I am. He will not be bound by his ego, and will gladly speak with the people in my life. He will be confident and not cocky. He will be tender and strong. He will be the force that God has given to protect my feminine tenderness. He will look at and love me with awe.
